I don’t think I ever said where we were – in the picture of Stephen and Noah from the previous post.  We LOVE the mountains!  And I think we have a special place in our hearts for the Colorado mountains since that is where we got engaged and where our wedding was… it’s definitely our favorite romantic mountain and be-close-to-the-Lord destination.   (Although since I am a New Mexican by birth, I have to pledge my mountain allegiance first to New Mexico lest I lose my membership card.)

Anyway, for Stephen’s birthday and post-surgery present (he had surgery in June to help with some breathing/sleeping issues), we went to Keystone, Colorado… which is actually minutes away from Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon Lake, and beautiful Vail.   So needless to say, we were resting in the heart of Romans 1:20, “For God’s invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So man is without excuse.“

We’ve decided to make it an annual tradition, by the grace of God.

Here are some more pictures from the trip…

We took the gondola up to the summit in Vail… it was beyond beautiful.  This picture really doesn’t do it justice.  We ate at a great restaurant up there with a perfect view!

This is how much FUN Noah had in the gondola.  I think he laughed the entire time both up to the top and back down again.

Mommy and Noah’s Great River Adventure.  We were just cruising around at the base of the Keystone Ski Area.  Noah really wanted to get in the river… and of course, didn’t really understand why we wouldn’t let him.

Not the best picture, but this was our view no matter which direction we looked and pretty much everywhere we went.   We were literally in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.  Only 345 days until we go back… but who’s counting :)

PS – there are more pictures on Noah’s Website (link is under Websites to the right).
